What is included in the menu price:
The prices of all of our buffet menus include high quality paper serviettes, in the colour of your choice, *buffet table coverings & buffet serving crockery.
*Please note that this does not apply to delivered buffets.
For sit down menus, fork buffets, larger buffets, corporate events, barbecues, afternoon teas, canapé receptions, dinner parties or private events & any other larger events please see below.
What is not included within the menu price:
The buffet tables, or any chairs or tables (and table cloths) for the guests to sit at, flowers or table decorations, as it is assumed that you would set up your guests' tables and chairs where & how you would like them. Please note however, that if required, we can arrange any of the above items for your function, please contact us for further information.

Place setting hire, which includes a wash up service & all items of crockery & cutlery is charged from £2.75+ VAT per person for all buffets, barbecues, sit down menus & larger events for our standard white premier settings. For a more decorative or upmarket place setting, please contact us for further information & prices.
Coffee/tea cups & saucers, including all necessary coffee/tea pots, sugar bowls, milk jugs etc. are available to hire and are charged at £0.75 + VAT per person for both buffet & sit down menus.
Please note that the hire charge for any coffee or tea crockery is in addition to all other place setting hire & is only added to menus, which do not already include tea or coffee.
Table linen, glassware & certain items of furniture are also available for hire; please call us for further information & an equipment hire brochure.
Any required cooking or electrical equipment will be charged separately depending on menu, guest numbers & the location of your venue.
Please note that all food stalls carry a variable hire charge, depending on the size of the function and number of guests. This is in order to cover transportation and set up costs, as well as cooking equipment and fuel.

All menus which require a delivery service only will be charged a delivery / collection fee accordingly.
Please note that for certain buffet menus where the set up of hot dishes & other serving equipment if required a set up fee will be included in the delivery & collection fee.
Delivery & /or collection charges will be calculated on the location of your event & time of delivery/collection.
Staff Charges:
Waiting staff & kitchen aides are charged at a rate of £8.50 + VAT per waiting staff, per hour.
Chefs are charged at a rate of £12.75 + VAT per chef, per hour.
This will be charged for all sit down menus, weddings, finger, fork & larger buffets, barbecues, carvery menus, canapé receptions, afternoon teas, dinner parties or private events & corporate or larger events.
Please note that staff costs may also be governed by the location of your function, if outside a 35 mile radius of our base.
All staff charges are calculated at a minimum rate of four hours.
*£25.50 + VAT per Chef & £17.00 + VAT per waiting staff, per hour will be charged on Christmas eve, Christmas day, Boxing Day, New years eve, New years day, Bank holiday weekends & all Bank holidays.
We will advise you at the time of booking how many staff will be required in order to make sure your function runs as smoothly as possible for you, & will confirm staff numbers on your confirmation of guest numbers. _________________________________________________
How to Book:
On request, an estimate will be raised based on the specific function requirements as given to us by the client.
We will provisionally hold the booking date for a period of 14 days, however a booking date cannot be guaranteed until such time as we have received a 25% deposit payment & completed booking contract form.
On receipt of the above we will send out a deposit payment receipt & booking confirmation.
Final balances are due strictly 10 working days prior to the date of the function.
All bookings are taken on a first come first serve basis.
Please note that your deposit amount & signed contract form confirm that you have read & agree with all of these terms & conditions.
If an estimate has not been generated but a minimum £250.00 deposit amount has been paid in order to secure a specific booking date, we will accept the booking, providing that the balance of the 25% deposit amount will be paid immediately on receipt of the raised estimate, 14 days from the date on which the minimum £250.00 deposit amount has been paid.
For bookings within a 30-day period, we will require a non-refundable minimum 50% deposit amount in order to secure the booking, with the balance payable no later than 10 days prior to the function date.
For bookings within a 10-day period, we will require full payment upfront in order to secure the booking.
No refunds will be made for cancellations before the function date.
Confirmation of final numbers is required strictly three weeks before the function date or at the time of booking for functions within a 30 day period, if numbers change after this time, the final count you have provided C & S Catering with will still be catered and charged for.
For cancellations within 10 days to 72 hours of a function whereby a deposit amount was paid to secure a booking, 50% of the balance will be refunded.
Please note: This does not apply to functions booked within a 10 day period.
Late payments or non-payments by the date required, will result in C & S Catering reserving the right to apply a 20% discretionary surcharge on all outstanding bills or accounts.
Prices quoted are guaranteed for 28 days from the date of the raised estimate. If, however, prices increase between the date of the estimate being sent out and the function, provided a deposit has been received in full, the function will be catered for at the lesser price, on condition that the original menu & requirements quoted for remain unchanged.
In circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to replace certain items on menus with similar alternatives.
All lost or damaged equipment will be charged at cost.
- A separate invoice will be sent to you post the function, once all equipment has been checked over & accounted for & we are aware of the exact numbers of missing & or damaged items.
- In the event of a missing or damaged items invoice being sent out, you will have 14 days in which to make your payment.
- Late payments or non-payments by the date required, will result in C & S Catering reserving the right to apply a 20% discretionary surcharge on all outstanding bills or accounts.
C & S Catering holds no responsibility for any equipment; which is not provided directly through ourselves.
All glassware & china provided by the client remains their sole responsibility & is down to the client to clean, polish, lay up & clear away, unless prior agreement has been arranged with C & S Catering

All prices are subject to V.A.T. at the current rate.
